Improving the patient experience through multi-lingual digital tools across a vast network.
Challenge
In parallel with NYU Langone’s campus transformation and rebranding, campus planners identified a need for a new wayfinding master plan, nomenclature strategy, and digital wayfinding tools. As the Main Campus burgeoned with new buildings, and the healthcare network expanded geographically into Long Island and New Jersey, the digital tools needed to evolve and expand as well.
Approach
LVCK provided an expandable multi-lingual suite of digital tools from welcome pylons, directional pylons, and digital physician directories. We created standards that can be implemented in each new facility location, yet managed centrally. Using our wayfinding system, the platform provides information in ten languages.
Working with NYU Langone for nearly a decade, digital wayfinding is now embedded in each real estate build-out. We collaborate with Real Estate, IT, Communications, and other departments to keep the program current across this vast network and make continuous improvements
