NYU LANGONE MEDICAL CENTER

Wayfinding & Communications

signage, print, & digital

A new wayfinding and nomenclature stragey was developed in parallel with NYU Langone’s campus transformation and rebranding. A suite of wayfinding tools was developed to support the new signage system with wayfinding information available in multiple languages. Touchscreen pylons, kiosks with printers, and digital apps give visitors customized directions from their homes, or within the Medical Center, to their final destination.

THE JOHNS HOPKINS HOSPITAL

Wayfinding Program

signage

Widely regarded as one of the world’s best hospitals, Johns Hopkins sees 80,000 visitors daily throughout its 60-building campus. The opening of the new $1.1 billion Charlotte R. Bloomberg Children’s Center and the new Sheikh Zayed Tower led a major campus redevelopment effort. A comprehensive signage and wayfinding system was designed for the new clinical buildings which were connected to the existing historic campus.

CAREPOINT HEALTH

Hospital Wayfinding Program

signage

CarePoint Health needed to quickly promote its brand among its newly acquired hopsitals – Bayonne Medical Center, Christ Hospital, and Hoboken University Medical Center. A speedy, successful exterior branding effort led to the assignment of a unified wayfinding program for all three hospitals. The signage program, currently being implemented, includes modular signs for changeable content, custom brand identification signs and amentiy blades, and painted wall graphics. The new wayfinding is a consistent thread of the patient experience at each hopsital.
